HISTORY

Origins

Ferruccio de Bernard established his Distilleria dell’Alpe in 1948 in Bastia d’Alpago, a small hillside village in the sweeping Cansiglio forest of the Italian Oriental Alps.

Among his new recipes Ferruccio has patented an enigmatic drink, Kapriol liqueur, commonly known as “Distillato del Bosco” (Distillate of the Forest). This herbal liqueur is produced in the same location as the juniper berries are collected, and infused with herbs and sugar using a long and complex distillation process.

In 2002 Beniamino Maschio took over Distilleria dell’Alpe with the intention of developing a variety of liqueurs typical of the Venetian traditions, including the original Kapriol Classico liqueur from 1948

KAPRIOL GIN

In 2016, after some years of carefully studying the recipe, and researching the best quality ingredients, Kapriol Dry Gin was born, with it’s characteristic aroma of the mountains and millennial forests of the Venetian Alps from the original classic Kapriol recipe, but with the addition of more botanical herbs, creating a gin with a unique and balanced aroma and flavour.

LIQUORI

In 2002 Beniamino Maschio took over Distilleria dell’Alpe with the intention of developing a variety of liqueurs typical of the Venetian traditions. Si tratta di liquori ottenuti mediante una complessa distillazione lenta e frazionata sul luogo di raccolta di erbe officinali di montagna.
